For this project, I used OpenCV in Python to implement a small algorithm that counts the number of a dice roll. DiceDetection is a Python package for detecting and analyzing dice in images or video streams. This module provides a DiceDetection class that encapsulates functionalities for dice detection, including blob detection, clustering, and result announcement using text-to-speech. While image classification is a relatively straight forward concept, object detection is a much more complex problem - given an image with multiple dice (e.g., our dice cam situation), the model must now detect and localize each die before classification.
