Azure DevOps Server has supported Kerberos for quite some time and the Git LFS 3.0 changelog indicates that it will continue to support Kerberos moving forward. And you may want to look at the Access Control howto, which discusses a number of related topics. Using NTLM authentication doesn't guarantee a credential-less login. If you have valid windows credentials that the server can recognize, you won't get a password prompt.
