Web Reference: Solid Edge can save dxf from 3D model, but you have to be in sheetmetal environment and use Save as Flat pattern command. Maybe this is not an elegant solution but works! 😉 Using the Save tab on the Options dialog box, you can automatically create and store backup copies of unsaved and modified documents while working in Solid Edge. Exporting a part, sheet metal, or draft as a DXF is the same. Go to save as then save as translated and select dxf.
