Web Reference: This Webcast series was developed for Developers who are interested in Oracle WebLogic Server and/or the newly supported Java EE 6 APIs in WebLogic Server 11 g R1 PS3. This series walks you through how to build an application using the APIs currently supported in WebLogic Server, including JPA 2.0, JAX-RS 1.1 and JSF 2.0. Developing web applications using JSF, business logic and persistence using EJB and JPA, performing dependency injection between components using CDI, and implementing web services using JAX-WS and JAX-RS are some of the topics covered in this class. Starting in Java EE 5 and continuing in Java EE 6, the focus has been ease of development. There is less code to write – much of the boilerplate code has been removed, defaults are used whenever possible, and annotations are used extensively to reduce the need for deployment descriptors.
