Web Reference: Aug 3, 2022 · We will develop an Android example application that performs an abstract AsyncTask in background. Android AsyncTask is an abstract class provided by Android which gives us the liberty to perform heavy tasks in the background and keep the UI thread light thus making the application more responsive. I have created a simple example for using AsyncTask of Android. It starts with onPreExecute(), doInBackground(), publishProgress() and finally onProgressUpdate(). This example demonstrate about how to use asyncTask in android. Step 1 − Create a new project in Android Studio, go to File ⇒ New Project and fill all required details to create a new project. Step 2 − Add the following code to res/layout/activity_main.xml.
